APPLICATION

SYNTHETIC SOLVENT BASE ENAMEL STANDARD CIACOLLOR alkyd product based on organic solvents with a matte, shiny and satin finish suitable for application on metal surfaces, wood or masonry in external and internal areas. It provides excellent resistance to weathering and solar radiation, prolonging the durability of the painting.

This product follows the classification of standard NBR 11702 type 4.2.1.2.



SURFACE PREPARATION / INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

New Wood: eliminate splinters by removing dust with a damp cloth. Apply one coat of Ciacollor Synthetic Leveling Fund. In case of imperfections, fix with Wood Grease. Level porosity with one more coat of Ciacollor leveler then apply the Ciacollor synthetic enamel. In case of application of varnishes, prepare the surface with a coat of Wood Sealer diluted with strong thinner. Sand after 1 hour and remove dust. Finish by applying the varnish.

Iron or steel surfaces: eliminate possible points of rust or any other impurity. Clean the surface with a dry cloth dipped in thinner or turpentine. Apply one coat of Zarcão Ciacollor. After drying the zarcon, apply the Ciacollor Synthetic Enamel.

Galvanized or aluminum surfaces: Clean with a damp cloth and wait for drying. Apply a base coat for galvanizing. Wait for the bottom to dry and then apply the enamel.

NOTE: in case of repainting, make sure that there is no shine on the surface and only then apply the enamel. If there is any shine, remove with suitable sandpaper. Failure to follow this process can lead to problems of low gloss and adhesion.



PRODUCT PREPARATION

As soon as you open the package, stir the product with a spatula / ruler or similar so that it becomes homogeneous.



DILUTION

10 to 20% with turpentine.

Before starting painting, stir the product again so that it reaches the ideal point for application and performance.



TOOLS

Roller, brush or pistol.



YIELD

225 mL container: 2.5 to 3.0 m² / coat
900 mL packaging: 10 to 12 m² / coat
3.6 L gallon: 40 to 48 m² / coat
18 L can: 200 to 240 m² / coat

The yield may change according to the surface, tool used and experience of the applicator.



LAYERS
We recommend painting in 2 layers, respecting the time of 4 hours between layers.
Depending on the surface conditions, an additional layer may be required.


DRYING

2 to 4 hours to touch, 6 hours between coats and 72 hours final. This time may vary according to local climatic conditions at the time of application.
